Två fel i bruksanvisning till Casio CFX-40/400 från 1985

Hello.

I managed to get me a Casio CFX-40 and I also found a manual online.




The calculator chip in Casio CFX-40

in the watch, is from a Casio FX-82 .

Now I have discovered an error in the Casio CFX-40 PDF , manual from 1985.

On page 10 there is a "Roots" calculation and first it say (V=Root)
V2+V3+V5 = 5.2871969 but calculated it is 5.38233234744
Right of this calculation, is a graphic on how to press keys on the wrist watch and it say
V2+V3 x V5 = 5.38233234744 that gives the correct answer in the manual.

So to the left, there should be a multiplication between V3 and V5 , as there is in the graphic to the right.

So now I wonder.


Am I the only one since 1985 , that seen this?

Fler har säkert sett det på sin tid då man ser i manualen att det är typografiskt skiljer i kedjan i hur man trycker på klockan och 'uppgiften' (med angiven fel resultat om man trycker efter 'uppgiften')

idag är det väl yttest få som har en sådan klocka och aktivt använder den gissar jag

Att fel kan vara oupptäckta under mycket lång tid ser man på hp42s som mycket länge hade ett enda 'officiellt' fel i en programfunktion (inget allvarligt och kunde kringgås) - tills Thomas Okken skrev det som idag är känt som free42 då han verkligen kollade alla funktionerna i sitt program mot de fysiska räknarna och hittade en bunt fel till.

Har hittat ett fel till.
Det är på sidan 11 där "key function indicator" i andra rutan under "Home position".
Där ska den svarta rutan vara nere till vänster, inte uppe till vänster.
Bilden ovanför under "key function indicator" visar rätt "Home position" .
