Lillsyrran for not swedish speaking people

Hello!

I'm from germany and I'd love to build a CNC-Router. I searched the internet for informations and stumbled over the "Lillsyrran"-design which seems to be thought trough very well.

Unfortunately I can neither speak nor read swedish. I tought I'd be able to work myself through with google translator but I didn't get past the .easm file.

The other information I found is that the router was designed by a user named "jojje" whos website is unfortunately offline.

It seems like measuring was disabled in the .easm file. I'm really not looking forward to take the measurements in a relative way so I hope you can help me:

Are there any plans with measurments?
Is there something like a list of parts?
Can I buy a plan or the drawings?

If not:
Is there any way to measure the parts in the .easm file?

Thank you!
seril789

PS: Registering is really not easy if you don't speak swedish. Since I can't read the rules it's pretty hard to answer a question about them :D

Welcome to the forum!

I am sad to inform you that Jojje, who as you have found out is the father of this well thought out design, passed away from cancer a few years ago. There have been some discussion about starting to manufacture kits and/or selling plans (with the permission of his family), with some kind of "license fee" going to cancer research. The discussion (in swedish) has been taking place in this thread.

Thank you for the quick anwers!

I'm very sorry to hear that jojje passed away! I'd love to pay a fee to his family and/or cancer research for drawings/plans.
Please don't hestitate to contact me about any progress/solution!

Sorry for my english... (If I offend anyone or so i am realy sorry for that.)

Think that (digitalizing the drawings) is still a bit under progress, but seems like the project is now awake and up n´ running again after You posted here so be patient... :)

Hawe You seen boris projects?

I don't see any reason to be offended by your english :D

Thanks for the hint to boris' projects, they seem very nice too but i think you need a CNC to build them.
They also don't seem to be so low-cost-optimized but rather for a maximum of precision.

In my opinion the beauty in jojje's design is that it is very intelligent in every detail. You only need some quality wood tools, some metal parts and a little spare time. On the other side there's a lot of room for "evolution", little improvements over time like trapezoidal threads or professional linear slides that don't bend.

I love to hear that I may have given a little "kick" to such a great project.

Thank You!

We are currently investigating on how to make Jojjes Legacy available, so keep in touch.

A side notise, Those driver cards used in the project was designed as an "all included" (exept the DC power supply and a personal computer) by him, and is no longer available, but think for example gecko drivers, UHU, etc will work fine as replacement. Maybe the drawings of the original cirquit design will also be available in the future.

Didn't anyone backup Jojjes site?

I have a pretty much complete backup of the site, I also have Diptrace-files for a number of his driver cards.

Then it shouldn't be a problem to build a replica. Or even a slightly improved one.

Maybe someone here are interested in picking up the tread and order some cards from a manufacturer and make a small serie, or (home buliding)kit of these drivers? :)

Is there any easy improvements that could be done?
