One modification i remember was somebody wished a possibility to add a 4th axis, and another thing was to make the cards easier to repair.

Easily done or needing a layout redesign from scratch? althought with similar schematic.

I think they are about to ask the widow to allow release of the drawings etc under Creative Common license.

I dare say there's been very little progress. Not because of bad will but I think most of us involved in the discussion lacks legal experience. I don't think the legal document needs to be that complicated but I lack knowledge of what should be included, i.e. what components Jojje produced. I know there was some electronics besides the lillasyster.
